Hannah Montana Film in the works? · 306 days ago by Hannah Freak

This past weekend Miley Cyrus was interviewed while attending a screening of the latest Harry Potter flick.

A few major were released however she let it slip that the movie was in early developement when she said “Now we’re figuring out ideas for the Hannah Montana movie,” she said. “And yes, it’s for the theaters, so hopefully I’ll see you there.”

She the followed it up by telling the interviewer that her dad, Billy Cyrus, would be producing.

“He’s never done anything like this before, but my dad is ready to take on new challenges”

As for the script it hasn’t been finalized however Miley really wants the movie to film in Nashville so she can be closer to home.

“The best idea is that I miss home,” Miley Cyrus said. “So if we could maybe film in Nashville and everyone could see our house and where we live, that we have a farm, that would be really exciting.”

In recent news article it was revealed that we may see country singer Gretchen Wilson making an appearance on Hannah Montana.

Why?

Well it seems she’s become a good friend of Miley Cyrus, so much so that the two have reported been discussing a possible guest spot by Gretchen and her daughter.

Gretchen obviously things very highly of Miley as in a recent interview she said:

“We watch Hannah Montana about 15 times a day at my house, she’s a pretty big star, and obviously my daughter just idolizes her.”

U.S Labels feeling envy at Disney's Success · 314 days ago by Hannah Freak

After an 8 year sales slump the record labels are growing envious of Disney’s success with High School Musical and of course our personal favorite Hannah Montana.

What does this mean? Well in a recent article I think Fred Goldring hit the nail on the head when he said:

“I predict in the next 12 months, you’ll see a lot of these companies chasing the tween market, and I think they’ll do it pretty well,” said Goldring, noting that tweens and their parents are among the consumers still buying CDs at a time when many music fans are increasingly downloading songs from online stores like Apple Inc.’s iTunes.”

But David Agnew from Disney Music Group isn’t concerned.

“I’d be surprised if labels don’t try, but they don’t have the multiple platforms,” said David Agnew, general manager of Disney Music Group. “Disney Channel has been an incredible incubator and that’s something our competitors may never have.”

What does this all mean for us fans? Well in a nut shell we can expect alot more music geared towards “Tweens” to hit the market in the next 12 months, but I agree with Goldring, noone has the power Disney has in this market.

Houston Chronicle Interview · 440 days ago by Hannah Freak

In today’s edition of the Houston Chronicle you will find an interesting interview with Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana herself!), it starts off talking about how sucessful Miley has become.. After the brief introduction Miley takes over and tells us how she got the role of Hannah and how things fell into place afterwards!

“I never dreamed the show would be so successful. But I think every girl can relate. Everybody has a dream they want to follow,” Cyrus said over the phone while stuck in Los Angeles traffic.

“The funny thing is, I never dreamed that I would even get the part. When they were first talking about the show, it was a few years ago, and I was only 11. The part was for a 15-year-old.”

She sent in tapes, thinking she would play Lilly.

“Then I got a call from the producers, and they said they actually liked me more for Hannah, but I was too young, too small. Omigosh, I really wanted the part. I told them, like, ‘No, no, no, please, I’ll dress up. Let me put makeup on, something, so I’ll look older. Pleeeeease.’ I sent in more audition tapes, but they still said I looked too young.”

Hannah Montana Stars and Fame · 445 days ago by Hannah Freak

The Fort Wayne Sentinel, no I’ve never heard of them before either, today published an interesting article on how the stars of Hannah Montana are handling their new found fame.

**

Emily Osment (Lilly): Emily, who turns 15 this spring, seems too busy to worry about it. “I’m going to a regular high school, which is a prep school, so it’s very high speed,” she says. “And I’m also doing this. And, you know, I have to have a social life. I’m an eighth-grader. And I’m battling boys and all this kind of stuff. And I think with Miley, she has more time. ... This is her world right now. Miley is music, and acting, and her social life as well, and for me, it’s more school and acting and my social life.” If Emily ever has problems, she can turn to her brother, “The Sixth Sense” star Haley Joel Osment, for advice.

Mitchel Musso (Oliver): Mitchel, who turns 16 this year (and can’t wait to drive), says that sometimes he’d just like to go to the mall or to a movie without being bothered. Not that he always minds the attention.

“Girls are crazy with the magazines and the posters, ‘Mitchel Musso’ with hearts everywhere, ‘be mine’ and all that (junk),” Mitchel says. “It’s crazy. The girls are nuts. The girl fans are crazy.” Of course, he’s the one who says he had 10 girls with him at all times – just friends, he stresses – when he returned to his home state of Texas for a visit around Christmas. But he says his friends back home still see him as “just Mitchel.”

Jason Earles (Jackson): Jason, who’s 19, admires the way Michael J. Fox has handled his career, and he’d like to use “Hannah” as a springboard to more “grown-up” projects.

“I will ride this wave as long as they will let me,” he says. “But I think always in the back of your mind you wonder ‘What’s gonna happen after this?’ I would personally like to use this show and the fact that they let me do so many off-the-wall crazy, funny things to maybe transition into network sitcoms. I’ve got sort of a natural fit there to play the friend or the crazy office guy. So I think about that a little bit, but I think we’re going to be here for a little while.”

Hannah Montana Touring Again? · 452 days ago by Hannah Freak

While all the details still have to be ironed out we thought you might be interested to find out that Miley Cyrus (the actress who plays Hannah Montana) recently told “The Meyers Report” that a tour and a movie are in the works!!

Miley was quoted as saying:

“We might do a double tour where I do Hannah opening for Miley, we’re not really sure. But hopefully.”

We have yet to find out what she said regarding the movie however this story has been picked up by the New York Post so I’m sure this is more then just a rumour.
